Last year, my sister was given some devastating news that she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Luckily my sister is strong, and she is a fighter. When she sets her mind to something, she is going to do it.
She fought and fought hard and won. She just had a follow-up and all is clear… she is cancer free!
The beautiful thing about such a horrible situation is that when my sister is impacted by something such as colon cancer, it develops into a passion. As a result of being impacted herself, she decided to be an advocate for herself and others to raise awareness about the facts, detection, and prevention of colon cancer.
March is Colon Cancer Awareness month! She has started a Facebook book group to wear blue (the other of Colon Cancer Awareness) on March 7th!! Please check it out and feel free to join!!
Here is another link directly to the “Dress in Blue Day” website, where you can get more information and facts on Colon Cancer:
This post is in honor of my sister and her passion to raise awareness about colon cancer. Please join her in spreading awareness and wear blue on March 7th!! Come back and post a picture of your blue or post on Facebook, Instagram or other social network to spread awareness 🙂 Thank you!!!
